Sword of Dawn
Since returning to the miniature painting hobby, I have gotten myself a good wet palette (the Redgrass Games Everlasting Wet Palette XL), and a really nice set of Winsor and Newton Series 7 Kolinsky sable hair brushes. I have also branched out from Warhammer and have amassed a backlog of really good minis from a bunch of studios. Big Child Creative’s Sword of Dawn is the first larger scale miniature bust I have painted, and I was really able to put my new gear through its paces while working on this project. I could feel my painting skills improving as I worked on it, with lots of glazing to get a smooth skin tone, and fine brush control to pick out all the details.
